 When you hear, Black Enterprise Magazine so many words come to mind. Money, wealth, more money, more wealth. I remember being in high school and we were asked to bring 2 magazines.

 

One that our parents subscribe to and one we read. Figured it'd be easy enough. Well I walked into Sarah T Reed Senior High with a Black Enterprise Magazine and VIBE.

 

 

" Black Enterprise " was for my single mom and of course Vibe was what I flipped through. At 17 yrs old I was holding a publication that would slowly work it's way into my main INK. I read Black Enterprise Magazine that day. I've been reading it ever since. Even as a columnist for fun topics I stayed true to my BE. Even if I was broke I read my BE. lol... ( being fah real guys ) 

 

Its brisk and breezy all while getting the point across. ( here's where it gets fun ) Fast forward a decade later and I was honored enough to interview Alfred Edmond Jr ( BE's Senior Vice President / Editor in Cheif ) right here on LipServiceInk.com - I was nervous at first, but hid my butterflies. You rarely hear Editors talk outside their respected pubs... So it was refreshing how informative Mr. Al was about the scope of BE. We talked about BE's intense web "suite" for new / existing readers. Awesome website guys !!!

 

To say thanks for his time I shipped the bookmark and even some of my art. Alfred was nice enough to say thanks via email. A big brand with a down home heart. Eye lub that !!!

 

Funny how life writes it's self out just right uh ?

Eye follow Alfred on Twitter now & the actual pub. Friends come by the house giving my coffee table double takes when they see a fresh BE issue.  Cant blame it on Mom now cuz its MY COFFEE TABLE !!! So yeah guys, eye lub this pub... I suggest you pick up a copy today and dive your bookmark deep into the INK that is Black Enterprise Magazine.

Best review I've ever read on Black Enterprise. Normally when I think of BE I feel broke now I see the INK in a new light. Black Enterprise here I come to buy you ( Can I get em at Walmart ? )

There is NO such thing as being " broke " but you can be " broke minded " - Use Black Enterprise as a form of empowerment to the money thats in store for you. You must believe first or no publication can help you.

and when I say feel " broke " Im talking about all the tips they give to save money I dont have. Its like someone telling you how to scratch your back but you have no back scratcher or arms.

I understand how hard it can be ( TRUST ME IM THERE WITH YOU AT TIMES ) but its not BE's job to give you money but only to help you make better choices with the $ you have. Thanks for reading my INK and buck up buttercup... We're all in this together !

And by the way, I keep my custom-made, original art, BlackEnterprise.com magnet by Thai (painted April 17, 2008 at 11:38pm, according to the certificate of authentication on the back) at EYE level just to the left of my computer screen!
